Just say “NO!” …to Internet Explorer 6

Are you still using Internet Explorer 6? Why?

IE6 was released in 2001. It’s obsolete already! Some people don’t drive the same car for that long! Most don’t wear the same underwear as they did 8 years ago. They may not even use the same computer for that long.

Why are you hanging on to IE6 then?

I’m in the midst of updating site layout, and having to deal with IE6 is a pain. Too many quirks/bugs/whatever. You’ll find that folks around the world are campaigning for IE6 users to switch. There’s even a Facebook group.

Please upgrade! Go with IE 7 (which has already been around since 2006), or check out Firefox (my favorite). Take the plunge and try on a new browser! You’ll look fabulous!

MOVIE: Flawless

Michael Cain and Demi Moore star in this 2007 flick about a jewel heist set in the 60’s. I think it was a really good movie. Demi portrays an executive in a typical, male-dominated corporation, trying unsuccessfully to break through the glass ceiling when an interesting opportunity presents itself.

What’s happening?

Site updates are in progress! I’m reworking the layout of the site, so please bear with me as I make changes over the course of the next 1-2, or 2-3 weeks. I’ll try to not keep things broken or wierd looking for too long.

UPDATE: 2/3/09 – Ok, so this is slow going, and I’ve been caught up doing other things. I’ll work on the site, time permitting.  🙂

UPDATE: 2/22/09 – Things are coming along well–site re-work is nearing completion. A few more cosmetic issues to address, and I’ll be done. yea!

What did you get…

…for Christmas?

For the fist time in my 20+ years of amateur photography camera ownership, I have equipment that doesn’t attach to the camera: two flourescent photo lights with stands, diffusers, a backdrop stand (that was my birthday gift), gels, and an AC master slave flash. Cool!

There there’s the PS3 game Rachet and Clank (yay!) and nifty “RealTriggers” for the PS3 controllers.

What were your favorite gifts?

Truffles at the dog park, and the Holiday Reindog Parade

Here are two more truffle albums for your viewing pleasure!

Truffles’ fifth photo album is from a day at the dog park. See Truffles making doggie and people friends as she romps around in the small dog park at Piedmont Park’s dog park.

In the Reindog Parade album, Truffles meets a whole lot of other doggies dressed up in their festive holiday gear at the Atlanta Botanical Gardens. Check out some of the other doggie contestants as they compete in various categories, like Best Puppy, Look-a-like, Botanical, and other themes. See if you can spot the doggie that leaves a special “present” for the judges.
