Our trip to Las Vegas, with Leslie, Jennifer, and Lizette!
We hang at the Stratosphere, Treasure Island, Caesars Palace, run into a celebrity from “Dancing with the Stars”, take in the Zumanity show, Mixx at Mandalay Bay, lunch at Eiffel Tower Restaurant, fountains at Bellagio, Luxor, MGM, Freezone for some dancing and the drag show, a trip up the Eiffel Tower, the Diva’s show, the Chandelier, and Freemont.

RAVE: Garden Lights
Atlanta Botanical Garden has a great light show going on every night for the holidays. Trees are adorned with colorful LEDs making for a spectacular display.
Be sure to visit the Fuqua conservatory to see plants lit up by green lasers. Really cool!

RANT: American Express
We’ve been using American Express instead of a local bank for years. I tried to get some travelers checks for our trip to Vegas. Before, I was able to get them charged to my AMEX card, no fees. They don’t do that anymore–cash, or personal check. So I go home to get a check.
Then, it’s a 2% fee. Ugh. Of couse, the teller informs me, I can get a discount to 1% if I pay cash. Hey, AMEX…I don’t have a local bank! I bank with you! Why no discount for us that can’t get cash except through an ATM? That’s the privilege of American Express.
So, stronger case made for getting a local bank. Crap.
What’s Happening?
It’s been a busy, busy time. We had water damage from the condo above in July, that has taken a long time to rectify. Even now, dealing with insurance payments and the mortgage company. There was Pride, doggie events, work (of course), and any number of other things that have been keeping me busy from posting. Even now, we’re ready for take off to Las Vegas.
So, no promises as to when, but Pride pix are currently being processed. I think I’m on the last half, and after Vegas, should be able to get them uploaded..maybe by end of next week?
