We recently returned from a 5-day cruise on Carnival, to Grand Cayman and Cozumel. Kevin and I went with his brother, Scott, and our friend and neighbor, Jennifer.
While in Grand Cayman, we hung out on the beach. At Cozumel, we took the boat to Playa Del Carmen, where we went on the “Caverns by Jeep” tour, which is highlighted by a swim in the cavern waters of Chaak Tun, a cenote.

I walked 1.5 miles…76,000 steps…and raised a whopping $1,025 for the Atlanta Humane Society!! My goal was only a mere $760, one penny per step. Thank you, friends, for your kindness and your donations in making my participation in the Atlanta Pet Parade such a huge success!

I’ve collected $600 for the Atlanta Humane Society so far!

The Atlanta Pet Parade walk is this coming Saturday, May 1st, early in the morning. I’m so excited to walk with all the hundreds of other doggies and people that will be there. So I told ya about how I’m gonna walk 1.5 miles in the Atlanta Pet Parade, benefiting the Atlanta Humane Society. By my calculations, that ‘s over 76,000 steps I have to take!
My daddies took me out to train. It had been a while since we walked such a distance. Below is the GPS tracked path that Daddy David tracked for me. As you can see, I walked 3.08 miles!! That’s twice what I’m gonna do in the pet parade walk! Hows that for being in shape?

Dear Pet Lover!
My Daddies Kevin and David are taking me to walk one and a half miles to raise money for the Atlanta Humane Society.
Just so you know, 1.5 miles is about 63,360 inches…my legs have about a 5 inch stride length…so, that’s um…about 19,000 steps per leg…and I have 4 of them…that’s like 76,000 steps…um..holy poopoo…that’s a long walk!
This was a very impromptu planned party…not even a full 24 hours! Monday evening we thought we should celebrate Truffles’ second birthday. I sent a text message to a group of friends, and less than 24 hours later we are at The Grove. The Grove was very busy…we didn’t know it was also Trivia Night…

While we’re not doing anything big, we are having corned beef, cabbage, soda bread, and some green beer tonight!

While on our diet kick, we picked up some buttermilk wheat pancake mix. I made some waffles, added some blueberries, and some delicious truffles. Everything’s better with truffles. 🙂
G.I. Joe, with lots of action and green screen effects, was a bit over the top. While appreciative of the hunky cast and nifty special effects, I felt the effects were cool but too showy. Focusing on the story and dropping the effects factor by 50% would have left an enjoyable movie. No need to turn down the hunkiness, tho. 😉
Julie & Julia was very funny and inspirational. Inspirational, because I’m updating content on my blog (which I haven’t in a while) and because I’m on a diet and all the food prep made my mouth water. I think it’s time to pull out a cookbook and see what I can whip up!
