VEATCH, Addie Mrs. Addie Mae Veatch of Stockbridge, formerly of Decatur, died Monday, October 26, 2009. She was a past member of Columbia Drive Baptist Church and a present member of the First Baptist church of Decatur. She loved mission work with her church and loved to sew, garden and cook. Mrs. Veatch was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Malcolm Veatch, and her daughter, Janice Veatch Penrod. She is survived by daughters and sons-in-law, Sandra and Randy Jones of Flowery Branch, Myra and Brad Magee of Stockbridge; son-in-law, Ted Penrod; grandchildren, Kevin Jones, Scott Jones, Marlyn Parker, Barry Penrod; great grandchildren, Caleb Parker and Cara Parker; sisters, Elsie Massey of Chamblee, Betty Jernigan of Gulf Shores, AL; brother, Bryant Campbell of Trion; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held in the chapel of A. S. Turner & Sons at 1 p.m. on Thursday, October 29th, Rev. Bob Wiley officiating. Burial will be in Resthaven Gardens of Memory. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, October 28th at A. S. Turner & Sons.
